Life Is Strange: Double Exposure follows Max Caulfield, a photographer at Caledon University, as she discovers her closest friend Safi murdered in the snow. When Max attempts to rewind time using a power she hasn't used in years, she instead opens a passage to a parallel timeline where Safi is alive but still in danger. Now Max must shift between two realities to solve and prevent the same murder before time runs out.
